world of warcraft action figures

Collectors appear in all stripes, people who  genuinely possess a love for the purpose they’re  collecting, those who just love the chase of being able to complete a collection, and those who hope their investment will some day be worthwhile.  One doesn’t need to be  among the many  millions of players of World of Warcraft to collect its toys.  The younger players though, or the young in mind, may have a difficult time resisting the urge to look at  the warcraft action figures of their box.  The slightly older players will want to  have the  warcraft action figures reminiscent of He-Man figures sold within the 80’s.

You can get four main companies that started manufacturing warcraft figures since Warcraft 2.  They are Blizzard Entertainment, Toycom, Advanced (SOTA), and DC Direct (of DC Comics).  From these companies, DC Direct has produced the biggest line of figures, 25 figures including deluxe miniatures, through 2009.

Blizzard, the corporation behind World of Warcraft, or WoW has only produced 5 figures.  They’re Human Footman, Orc Grunt, Malfurion Stormrage, Muradin Bronzebeard, and Thrall.

Toycom has released six miniatures all from Warcraft III.  SOTA produced only 3 figures that are: Tauren Shaman, Undead Warlock, and Jungle Troll Voodoo Priest.

DC Direct released its first group of warcraft action figures in 2007.  This first series was comprised of Meryl Felstorm: Undead Warrior, Rehgar Earthfury: Orc Shaman, Valeera Sanguinar: Blood Elf Rogue, and a deluxe figure, Illidan Stormrage: Night Elf Demon Hunter. DC has released five series with the end of 2009.

As Steve Carell’s character, Andy, proved in The 40-Year-Old Virgin, having a mint toy collection can be quite a nice investment.  Those unfamiliar with WoW, but trying to find the next “hot” collectible, could look into these wow action figures because WoW is a Guinness World Record holding massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), holding the record for many subscribers, over 11 million.  With that many followers worldwide it’s likely a market will exist later on for anyone collectors who could actually purchase the warcraft action figures now and keep them.  And unlike the He-Man figures these WoW action figures aren’t currently being produced in higher quantities and sold in retail outlets.
